Every so often one comes along that's a scene changer and Tartan Amoebas came along in 1995. The fiddle and the Highland pipes nailed the traditional elements to the floor and the surrounding feel went on a world trip led by brass and percussion and great dance beats. Led by composer Fraser McNaughton, they suffered a bit again because of the size of the band. Shame.
