From the CD Booklet " The Dancing Strings of Scotland "

Once again we are trying to find a new, exhilarating blend of music styles which, when put together, create a whole new ' sound ' to Scottish Dance Music. We called a halt at combining a dance band and a Strathspey and Reel Society so instead have taken a ' larger than normal ' string section ( nearly an orchestra ! ) and joined up with a ' larger than most' dance band. The very , pleasant outcome is " The Dancing Strings "

Because this is a ' new outfit ' the other benifit is that once again those most popular dances are given yet another round on the floor. All in all a satisfying combination.
