Three fiddle players from three different countries all playing together. Now who in their right mind would come up with an idea like that ? Well, to save embarrasment to the guilty party, I'm not going to tell you. When we first thought about it, Johnny, Christian and i all had a quiet giggle and then agreed to do it ( which only goes to prove that we all have a sublime sense of the ridiculous! ).
We set off on what we thought would be our one and only tour in 1992 and soon discovered that the people who came to see us were really enjoying themselves ( and so were we! ). Before our first US tour was over, a second was being booked and before long we were asked to bring The Celtic Fiddle Festival to Europe. We recorded some of the concerts on that first US tour and later a CD was released, which of course, only encouraged the ball to keep rolling. So, here we are, ten years later, still at it, still Celtic Fiddling, still showing how, in Johnny's words, three cultures can be destroyed by a common instrument. .
