John MacLeod was the 29th Chief of the Clan MacLeod as it turns out. Besides having to care for the MacLeod Estates - that would be Skye the Cuillins and more - he was also a lawyer. Sung mostly in English but there is still a strong inclusion of Gaelic song.
The MacLeods have been in residence for over 800 years.
