FIRST HEARING:
Fiddle music in the main, from the traveling folk music traditions in Ireland.
This is, at times, as wild as it gets. Music played 'old style' with an unequaled intensity. The fact that it's live probably adds to that intensity.
But it's not just folk scrapping away on the strings with bow, instead it's really a lesson in a style of playing that does deserve a wider audience.
