FIRST HEARING:
It's a concert. So we have almost two minutes getting an atmosphere together with some synth type sounds, then an introduction and we're off.
'The Vale' are a big band and they get a tight sound. The sixty minute selection from the concert has a good blend of the modern (making good use of the compositions of former member, the late lamented Gordon Duncan) and the traditional.
Pipe bands are now becoming much more imaginative and 'The Vale' are up there amongst the innovators.
