FIRST HEARING:
A fresh look at one corner of folk music. The fact that many of the songs were popularised by music hall & variety theatre artists does not too well with 'true folkies' but here we have a 'role reversal' as songs from the halls are given a folk treatment and with a respect they deserve.
From America, of course, where things are looked at with a different eye.
Despite the obvious USA slant this deserves a good listen.
