FIRST HEARING:
Another huge song & artists collection from Alan Lomax' trip round Scotland in 1951. A real ceilidh compered (?) by the masterful Hamish Henderson and featuring the vertiable who's-who of traditional music and song of the time.
The 40 page booklet has notes on the artists, songs & lyrics and is a 'must-have' for all with an interest in Scottish folk traditions.
Again, too, this is a CD 'first' for many of the tracks (& artists).
