The new music industry sport of raiding the archives of the major record companies is to be welcomed if it means that lots of classic Scottish & Irish recordings that were heading rapidly for the skip in the executive car park are now being made availaable on CD, often for the very first time, by a band of often enthusiastic amateurs.
This 'new' Gaelic CD features a host of very well known and respected Gaelic performers who featured highly in the 'Se Ur Beatha', 'Fear-an Tighe' and other early TV series.
Much more than just nostalgia.
