FIRST HEARING:
Opening her retrospective double-pack CD of 25 songs with a Dougie MacLean song, Frances has been thought of more as 'contemporary' rather than in The Black Family tradition but on this release the blend is well mixed and should serve as a great introduction to one of Ireland's most popular artists.
