The Irish word 'Ceili' refers to a gathering of people for an enjoyable time of dancing, Music & story-telling. Today it is more associated with dancing. The other side of the music must be 'preservation' as again we have an Irish tradition that strives to keep the traditional music history alive.
And it certainly is 'alive' if the bands here are to be believed. Lots of lively stuff. Vibrant but always melodic.
