Margaret Callan

Margaret Callan was raised in North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. She won the Gold Medal for traditional singing at the National Mod in 1994 and is a member of the wailking group "Bannal". She is an accomplished piper with a particular interest in pibroch songs and puirt-a-beul from North and South Uist. She has recently given up her career as a solicitor to further her research into the traditional pipe music, song and dance of the Uists.
