From the CD Booklet " At This Moment "

I was watching TV one night flicking channels and i came across a show with Karen Dunbar doing songs. I knew Karen from the comedy shows, mainly Chewin the Fat, but i didn't realise she had this voice. It was a really engaging programme and i liked the fact she did some interesting songs like Tom Waits 'Ol' 55 and not the customary more sentimental repertoire favoured by mainstram entertainers. I thought " We should do an album with her ".

After a few discussions we went into the studio and got started. The album was made over two separate sets of sessions with a slightly different band each time.It was all done in Cava Studios with Geoff Allan as engineer. Some guest musicians gave us some magic moments and although it was spread over a long time it came together reasonably quickly in the studio.
This album shows a side to Karen that not everyone is aware of and, for me, as well as being a delight to work with , proves she's a major artist in all her fields.
