1993 - 96 BMus, Queen's University Belfast.
1997 - 98 MA in Musicology at Queen's University - main research topic the harp in 18th-century Ireland, and the collections of folk music at that time.

1994 TTCT (Teastas i dTeagasc Ceolta Tire) diploma for teaching the Irish harp, at advanced level - awarded by Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann and the Department of Education

Group Performances
Member of the Belfast Harp Orchestra (Orchestra leader, 1996 - 1999)
_ Founded by Janet Harbison (director) in 1992 in commemoration of the bicentenary of the 1792 Belfast Harper's Assembly. The orchestra has toured extensively in the UK, Europe and the USA, and have produced various recordings, including Carillon and Colmcille (Columban Suite composed by Janet Harbison in commemoration of the death of St Columba in 597AD) and have also featured with the Chieftains on The Celtic Harp.
Member of the Belfast based group Clarsheree
_ Specialising in Irish music of the 17th and 18th centuries. Recording Feasting with Carolan.
Member of the Irish National Harp Ensemble.
_ Toured Britain in 1996 with the popular show 'Spirit of the Dance'. Performance in Norway 1998, with the show 'Celtic Crossroads'.
Member of National Folk Orchestra (CCE)
_ Performances include 'Slad agus Slαnϊ' and the 'Millennium Suite'.
