My Fascination with Pipe Bands started at a very early age. As the years passed, I marvelled at the number of tunes that were composed for the pipes. I decided to try my hand at composing and my first tentative effort consisted of two 6/8 marches which i submitted to the College of Piping. One was accepted and i thought i had achieved my aims. Some years afterwards i was approached by several Pipe Bands to compose music for the pipes. That is when i began to regognise the need to bring out fresh tunes, some with a difference, and submit them to the various bands. On this album, many of the tunes are dedicated to the Piping World, and i hope they bring pleasure to the listener whether they be musician or otherwise.
